Because sometimes, coffee and sarcasm are the only things keeping us going.

Dear Moms,

Welcome to the wild world of parenting — where sleep is a myth, snacks disappear mysteriously, and your toddler’s favorite word is “NO!” (followed closely by “Why?”… on loop.)

If you’re winging it daily and wondering if you’re doing it right — you are. Here’s a short list of basic parenting tips, sprinkled with a little humor, because let’s be honest — sometimes all we can do is laugh (and maybe hide in the bathroom for a few minutes of peace).

  1. Sleep when the baby sleeps

And cook when the baby cooks, clean when the baby cleans, and maybe take a vacation when the baby does your taxes. (Translation: You might want to invest in coffee.)

  2. You don’t need to be perfect

Your kid doesn’t care if you made Pinterest-worthy lunches. They’ll probably just eat the chips. Show up, love them hard, and remember — even if you mess up, they still think you’re magic.

  3. Screen time won’t destroy them

A little TV won’t melt their brain. A lot of TV won’t either, but it might make them start singing Peppa Pig songs in a British accent. Choose wisely.

  4. Always pack extra clothes (For you, too)

Diaper blowouts, sippy cup leaks, mystery stains… being a mom is basically being a stain magnet. Pro tip: Keep an emergency mom shirt in the car. You’ll thank us.

  5. It’s OK to hide snacks

No shame in the chocolate stash hidden behind the lentils. Call it self-care. Call it survival. Just don’t forget where you hid them.

  6. Ask for help. Seriously.

You’re supermom, not a robot. Tag in your partner, friend, or random neighbor. Even superheroes need sidekicks.

  7. Celebrate small wins

Everyone’s alive? That’s a win. Brushed teeth before 10 AM? Gold medal. Kid ate a vegetable? Go ahead and treat yourself to a cupcake.

At the end of the day, mama, your best is more than enough. Whether you’re killing it in the kitchen or just trying not to cry in the laundry room — you’re doing an amazing job.

Keep the humor. Keep the hugs. And remember — you’re not alone.

Love,
Team Kiddo 💛
